i'm home in Idaho sick with a fever & this is all i've been staring at all day.
it was taken by Alfred Eisenstaedt at the end of WWII & was published in Life Magazine on August 27, 1945.
apparently Eisenstaedt simply followed a sailor down Time Square as he kissed seemingly every woman in sight.
no one knows for sure who the woman he's kissing is.
lord knows i'd sure like to kiss this fever goodbye.
